Terms and conditions

Last updated 22 October 2026

About these terms

worldmap. is a personal, non-commercial project run by an individual based in the UK. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How your data is handled is covered separately in the privacy policy.

Travel information is a guide only

The country guides, including notes on entry requirements, visas, safety, health, currency, weather, costs and what to pack, are written in good faith for general interest. They are not legal, immigration, medical or financial advice.

Travel rules and conditions change, often at short notice, and the guides may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Before you book or travel, check:

Exchange rates and other data

Currency conversions use live rates from a third-party service and are approximate. Prices, costs, opening times and similar details are indicative only. Don't rely on them for financial decisions.

Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, including Google Search and official travel resources. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your data.

Your saved data

Favourites, notes, packing lists and other settings are stored in your browser. They can be lost if you clear your browser data, switch device or use private browsing. Use Export if you want a backup. I can't recover data stored on your device.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

Copyright

The guides, text and design of worldmap. are protected by copyright. You're welcome to share links and quote short extracts with a link back. Please don't republish the guides, in whole or in large part, without permission.

Availability

The site is provided free, "as is" and "as available". I may change, pause or remove any part of it, including guides and features, at any time without notice.

Liability

As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. That includes missed flights, refused entry, extra costs, lost data, or decisions made using the guides.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded under the law of England and Wales, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
